2016 Details

The reunion was a success and attended by 68 people

Everyone seemed to enjoy the activities and visiting with each other.  And the good food, of course.

There was a pinata for the kids, made by sandra, denise and myself- an angry bird as requested by yssenia.

The dessert contest was won by andrew lermuseaux, a butterscotch pie, with rhea winning 2nd prize for her peach cobbler, and sharon in 3rd with her almond bars.

There was a special recognition of rhea cahall for her selflessness,  family support, willingness to jump in and help, medical advice, and loving kindness…what a good sister, mother, cousin, grandmother, and great grandmother!!!!  And role model…testimonials from family were well deserved.  Rhea received a nurses cap and corsage.  Love you rhea

The bingo was a big success, and many prizes were passed out.  Thanks to tina and greg for donating a jenga set for raffle, and to misty for donating a print for raffle, too…..everyone seemed to enjoy personalizing the jenga blocks….rhea was the winner of the jenga, and kelley  won the print of rainbow bridge

The bbq was from rudys bbq, with many of the sides provided by our family….um um….we raised an extra $154.00 from donations .

The raffle raised $162….$50 was donated to the sandoval county historical society for the use of tables and chairs.  $30 was given to julie for the lovely momentos, hope everyone got one…so we ended the reunion with $236.00…that will be used for mailings, raffle items for next year. Any ideas for next year?  Please feel free to email/call/write….

We didn’t discuss the location, but i am happy to host again next year- july 21-23, 2017….that should accommodate our parents/schoolkids…..

Look for the newsletter to come….and pics….

We missed wilson and his laugh and smile.

Special thanks to sandra, vickie, judy sue, denise, renee, andrew, jr, and aaron for all the help getting ready.   As grandma mildred used to say,  many hands make light work

Marshall often said  “by jiggers”

Barn would say “i’m so dry i’m farting dust”

Crick said “he worked like a cranberry merchant”

I know mom was tired afterwards, and took a nap for several days….but she loved it, and visiting with everyone and seeing the kids playing together was great
